Summer 2011 has seen our strongest tenant demand on record, with multiple interest in many particularly desirable properties. As we move into September and October we anticipate a marked slow down with good quality city centre flats, as usual, remaining the strongest sector of the market. Although closer than it once was, there is still no agreed commencement date for the government backed mandatory tenancy deposit scheme. The scheme has been operating in England since 6th April 2007 with mixed success, and extremely low interest rates have made running the scheme (funded from the interest generated by deposits held) very challenging. Read more

1LET and Macmillan Cancer Support:

Together with the other occupiers of our office (AWL and Bray Leino) 1LET will be hosting a “Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” in the office at 20a Manor Place, Edinburgh EH3 7DS on Friday 30th September.

We hope that as many customers and business partners as possible will pop in between 10am and 1pm for some tea, coffee and some delicious home-made cakes! 

In July 1LET became fully licensed members of the Association of Residential Letting Agents. ARLA are widely recognised as the leading accreditation body for Letting Agents in the UK. Demanding entry requirements including qualified staff, audited financial procedures and a fully insured client money protection scheme mean that less than 5% of letting agents in Scotland are currently ARLA registered
